Hello! Jessica here. Thought I'd keep you updated on our journey so far. We're headed off to support training on Thursday. It seems weird to be going to support training after we've already started raising support. It feels like they're going to tell us we're doing it all wrong...I hope not!

The last time I was in Denver (the headquarters of WorldVenture), it was such a blessing to me. I went to their Renewal Conference in 2006. This is a conference where missionaries can come back and be refreshed through worship and prayer. I was allowed to come to be able to talk to some current missionaries and really get to know the heart of WorldVenture. I was impressed.

Needless to say, I'm really excited for Steve and I to do this together. This is the first time Steve will be able to really experience the vision and mission of WorldVenture. I have to admit, when Steve and I first started dating, and he told me that he wanted to go to France with me, I was skeptical. I was so scared that he was just doing this because it's what I wanted to do. We've talked and prayed, and prayed and talked and I am SO glad that God has called us to this mission together. I don't know what I would do without a godly man to help direct and lead this venture that God has called us on.

I just finished reading through Proverbs and this verse stuck out to me:

Prov. 4:25 Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you.

This has become my prayer for our journey as we go through support raising, leaving this mission field for the next, and serve God overseas together.

Lord, help us to focus our eyes straight ahead onto You and serve You with our whole hearts and soul and mind.

Steve and I will be updating the blog after we get back from our Conference...please be in prayer that we would leave with many great ideas, encouragement, and a renewed excitement for our mission!

God Bless,

Jessica
